The mission at Magic Island during its original incarnation was to create high quality t-shirts made from the finest cut in the day to expose the surfing lifestyle through surfing artwork. Today our intention is cast from the same mold of quality awareness.

We had a few important concerns with respect to t-shirts when deciding to launch Magic Island Designs. First, we wanted to create a product that felt good to wear. Second, we wanted to create garments that appealed to both men and women. Finally, our goal was to develop a product that we could be proud of, that we hoped your would enjoy.

In the creation of our product lines, three specific t-shirts have been selected to best suit our needs. With respect to our Men's line of creations, our t-shirt is a 100% cotton, 6.1 ounce ring-spun t-shirt, which best replicates the style and authenticity of the t-shirts that we as a company originally offered in the 1970's. The advantage of a ring-spun t-shirt all comes down to the feel of the garment itself. With ring-spun cotton, the shirt is softer, and as you wash our designs, we hope that it will become your favorite shirt.

Below you will find the sizing specifications for the mens line of clothing. Please note that the t-shirts are 100% cotton, and as such will shrink slightly after its first wash and dry cycle.

Our next goal at Magic Island Designs was to create a high quality Ladies collection. In order to do so, we have employed what we have found to be two of the highest quality t-shirts available to women today. Our first ladies shirt designs are printed on American Apparel ladies shirts. These shirts provide an exceptional fit to the female form, as well as being made from high quality super fine ring-spun cotton. The shirt itself is a 100% cotton, 4.3 ounce slim fit t-shirt and is made here in the United States of America. A fact that we are proud of at Magic Island Designs.

Below you will find the sizing specifications for our American Apparel ladies t-shirt. Please note: American Apparel shirts will shrink roughly one size, please buy accordingly.

Our next shirt is a high quality v-neck design for the ladies. This shirt is both soft and comfortable, with super fine 4.3 ounce ring-spun cotton and slim fit for the shape of a woman.

At Magic Island, all of our artwork has been re-created using what is know as the Giclee Printing Process.

Giclee, correctly pronounced "Zhee-clay", combines the use of the most advanced technologies in digital printing to make a high quality replication of the original Magic Island T-shirt Artwork.

At Magic Island Designs, we offer various types of Giclee prints for our customers. The prints are broken down according first to the quality of paper or canvas that will be printed and second with respect to sizing. At Magic Island Designs, we offer two styles of paper for the Giclee prints:

• Archival Watercolor Art Paper - A big step above the poster quality printing material. Comes unframed and cut for framing purposes.
• Archival Fine Art Canvas - Canvas that holds near original quality reproductions on a stronger, more durable medium. Is produced unframed and is cut to framing specifications.

The selections of the papers and canvas that we use to produce our art reproductions are acid free mediums which help to ensure lasting high quality in the artwork. In conjunction with this, the water-based inks that are used in the process of printing help to make the artwork sustainable for over 100 years.
