Hello Magic Island fans!

Last Saturday the 26th, members of the Magic Island Team were present for the Hands across the Sand event that was held nationwide. Our team was at the Boca Raton event, where a good number of volunteers joined hands to stand-up for anti-drilling measures along our shores.

The turnout was great, there were many smiling faces and even a few journalists showed up to cover the event!

Thanks to the organizers of the event, as well as local and national media for covering an event that in a time like this is so important for our ecological sustainability on this planet Earth.

Check out news about the event on Huffington Post and at the Palm Beach Post!

Let us know if you were at the event!

Surfers for Autism

Hi Magic Island Fans!

Last Saturday, the 19th of June, the Magic Island Team was stoked to be a part of a classic Surfers for Autism event in Stuart.

If you don’t know, Surfers for Autism is a great South-Florida based Non-profit organization that puts together awesome events where volunteer surfers help teach young Autistic children about the stoke of Surfing.

The Stuart event was Magic Island’s second Surfers for Autism event and what a great one it was.  The swell conditions were not exactly surfer friendly, but the day itself was gorgeous and the small lines in the early morning made for some great learning conditions for the young riders.

As the day progressed the ocean conditions became a bit lake-like, but the smiles on the faces of the young children kept everyone in high spirits on the beautiful beach day.

The Stuart event was blessed with a great number of volunteers who braved the sun for the duration of the event with bright smiles on their faces. Along with some great memories, good rides and beaming smiles, the event also served as a great fundraiser with a lot of people walking away from the event with some great SFA gear and prizes from some of the great sponsors of the event including Stuart locals The Ohana Surf Shop and Cowabunga Surf Shop, Acai product makers Sambazon, Amazing Sand Removal Product manufacturer Sand Gone and of course all of us at Magic Island Designs.

Magic Island was very stoked to meet and talk with some of the great people at the event. A big thanks to everyone who stopped by the Magic Island Tent to say hello and check out our gear!

In addition to raising awareness for a great cause, the Surfers for Autism event was a ton of fun for all those involved. We at Magic Island would like to thank Don and the rest of the crew at Surfers for Autism for a great event!

More Pictures to come in the following days!

Check out the Tiki Adventures on FuelTV.

The Tiki is the surf charter boat that appears on the Fuel TV show: Mission Carribean.

Along with great waves, crazy wakeboarding and epic diving, Capt’s Stormy and Drex show off a couple of our Magic Island Shirts during the show.

We at Magic Island are stoked to see our friends on TV and hope that it helps with their surf charter business!

Great work guys and thanks for sporting MID.
